@ Manila Bay

Up at 8am and on the bike . Took me all of 15 mins to blast down to the Bay. The foreshore walk goes for km’s and it is currently being revamped with new tiling, seats and landscaping so when it is finished I imagine it will be very nice. I rode from Mall of Asia all the way past the US Embassy ( perched right on the bay on prime real estate ) and dwon to Rizal Park. Hundreds of people actively riding mt and road bikes and running etc. I saw a dragon boat competition being raced which was very cool. Lots of lud music and smiling people. The middle part of the foreshore walk is a tad “sketchy” with a lot of semi-vagrant looking people hanging around doing not much and gangs of natty street kids roaming around. Rizal Park was nice but I rode mt bike in and got promptly booted by the security guard. I felt sorry for the two filipino marines that had to stand at full attention in the hot sun in front of the statue of J P Rizal. After my ride home I headed over to HOWZAT ! to meet Dave for the Sunday roast buffet. All you can eat and drink San Miguel for 599php. AWESOME VALUE. Home for an afternoon nap which came quick after biking and a roast !
