What a difference a year makes

End of 2010

Now

Paul’s place is almost finished. It has come up fantastically and shows just how what you can build in Cambodia for under $40,000. Aileen has chosen a great duck-egg colour for both interior and exterior which both offsets the terracotta tiling and lifts all the garden greenery around the house giving it a wonderful cool feeling. They still have a ways to go with fitting out the kitchen shelves and getting some furniture in but its basically almost done and the garden is simply booming along. We had a lovely bbq, some cold beers, a swim in the river and then my favorite, a bonfire. Overhead a full moon and ring of light of “Knai Bang Chatt” shone brightly as jets left glowing white streaks across the sky and kids ran around on the ground.
