Farnsworth House ; Super *Groan*

Farnsworth House ; um......speechless !

I have found the dream home. I stumbled across this whilst googling “suspended slabs”. The Farnsworth house is locate in Illinois on the banks of the Fox River. Set amongst maples and cedars ( whose ever changing seasonal leaves I just love ), the house is elevated 5ft3in above the ground. It was built by modernist architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1951 as the country estate of a doctor and I don’t know about you but this house leaves me speechless. Can you imagine this out in the lush green rice paddies of Cambodia with a nice pool ? GROAN. More info here .
