The New Australian Embassy in Phnom Penh

The new Australian Embassy is open for business. Built by Australian company Leightons, the facility is absolutely stunning. Right on the Tonle Sap river and next to the National Assembly building with it’s golden spires, the location is one of the best in town. The gardens are brimming with verdant plants and lawns and the finished detail is exceptional. I have been there quite a few times during Grace’s passport application and not once have I had to wait. No ticket machine or endless queues – just straight in to see an embassy official. No photos allowed inside so this is the best I can do.

No lines, my bogan friend, because there must be like 5 of you convicts in town. 😉

In all seriousness, it is a great building…nice location.
